Technical Architect - Lead Developer

Quartech Systems Ltd. is looking to interview a Technical Architect - Lead Developer for an upcoming contract opportunity in Alberta.

The Technical Architect - Lead Developer will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in design and unit testing including planning, monitoring and supporting technical activities and tasks.

Mandatory requirements
  • Ability to guide and direct project teams in requirements definition, design, development and testing, with three (3) years experience as a team lead.
  • Possess extensive background and experience leading technical implementations of Curam-based solutions including:
    • Thorough understanding of Curam's technical architecture for v5.x for the Curam Enterprise Framework and both Curam Enterprise and Solution modules;
    • Expertise in public sector IT environments;
    • Extensive development experience on large integrated complex multi-stakeholder projects;
    • Experience in software development life cycles, application release management and software development methodologies;
    • Experience in enterprise data conversion and or interfaces, including integration, ETL techniques, data quality, data cleansing / tools; and
    • Good working knowledge of the relevant types of testing (functional, conversion, regression, interface/batch, user acceptance, performance and dry run of implementation, etc.).
  • Proven technical, professional, and business knowledge to provide senior level advice and technical guidance for the gap analysis, design, development testing, application and interface code.
  • Ability to present ideas to IT management and business leadership.
  • Experience working with the implementation of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) and/or framework products implementations.
  • Excellent communication skills relating to leading and managing a diverse set of individuals who are part of the project team.
