What are Cloud Services?
Cloud services encompasses any technology function available to users through cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Traditionally, organizations developed applications or hosted software, email, data storage, and backups in-house. Now these functions are available over the Internet through cloud computing platforms—without installing software or purchasing the infrastructure to support internal services and applications.
If you are considering migrating all or some of your business applications or software development to the cloud, selecting a platform can be confusing. The right platform depends on your organizations individual needs.
Quartech has designed and implemented both Azure and AWS cloud solutions our clients. And, we are also using a hybrid on-premise–Azure cloud solution in-house. We can help you choose a solution and then work with you to design and build your business systems in the cloud or on-premise—whatever is right for you.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has two data centers in Canada and others worldwide. It used by industry giants like GE, Time, Expedia, and airbnb.
Microsoft Azure has two data centers in Canada with more global regions than any other cloud provider. Azure is used by 95 percent of Fortune 500 companies.
Azure has strong hybrid cloud capability allowing you to develop apps across hybrid environments using Agile methods. With Azure DevOps you can use the same delivery pipeline between on-premises and the cloud.
Quartech has delivered Azure and AWS cloud services to our clients. Our own in-house solution is a hybrid on-premise–cloud environment on Microsoft Azure.
